The Klefe Traditional Area on Sunday officially announced the demise of Togbe Afele Dzaga X, Fiaga of Klefe.
Mr Godfred Nudey, Secretary of the Traditional Area, who briefed journalists on the death at Klefe at the weekend, said a month’s state of mourning has been declared in Klefe.

Mr Nudey said the late Togbe Dzaga would be remembered for his time consciousness, calm disposition, wisdom and great power of judgement, which helped in restoring peace in Klefe.
“I wish to put on record that Togbe had fulfilled one great desire of his people; the unification of the six divisions of Klefe, to enable the people to live in peace where freedom and rule of law prevailed. This is evident in the unity enjoyed among all chiefs, Mamawo and the people,” the Secretary said.
He said the late Togbe Dzaga ensured the enactment of good laws, freedom of worship, reforms and development projects, including the establishment of the ZENDO Union and the abolition of outmoded customs and practices.
Mr Nudey assured that the one month mourning, and finding of a successor to Togbe Dzaga would be done peacefully.
The late Togbe Dzaga X, a professional teacher, known in private life as Mawunyo Kofi Nkrow, was born on July 7, 1935 and enstooled as chief on February 28, 1963.
