Hewlett-Packard (HP) the American-based largest multinational information technology cooperation has launched its new range of Ultrabooks and Sleekbooks notebooks into the Ghanaian market.

Offering both style and substance, the HP ENVY Sleekbooks and Ultrabooks provide a ultra-light and ultra-slim striking design, high performance and innovative technology combined into a small package.

The newly launched HP Ultrabooks and Sleekbooks are available in 36.5cm (14inches) and 39.6cm (15.6 inches) display sizes, are as thin as 19.8mm and boast a starting weight of 1.79kg with a tactile soft-touch slip-resistant base, making them easy to grab and go.

The Ultrabooks include the latest Intel core processors while the Sleekbooks boast the latest AMD accelerated Processing unit, allowing for elevated performance and a battery-life of up to eight hours.

For the ultimate entertainment experience, the Ultrabooks and Sleekbooks come with Beats Audio sound experience, with dual speakers and a built in subwoofer coupled with the high performance that enhances the creation and consumption of videos, music and other multimedia content.

These notebooks also include innovative HP technology, such as the HP CoolSense technology which automatically adjusts the notebook’s temperature based on usage and conditions; the HP ProtectSmart, consisting of in-built 3D motion sensors that allow the notebook to respond in case of accidental drops, bumps or bruises so that data stays safe, as well as a backlit keyboard.

Speaking at the products’ launch in Accra, the Africa Channel Sales Manager for HP, Mr. Burak Borhan, stated that the new products will meet the needs and concerns of computer users for a more sophisticated, high-performing mobile computer, as well as expanding the corporation’s consumer base.

He also described lack of innovation as a challenge in Ghana’s IT industry
