The week is being celebrated in collaboration with SOT and Ghana Association of Software and IT-enabled Services Companies.

The programme for the celebration copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday, listed the main events for the occasion as lectures comprising "Opportunities for ICT graduates," "Preparing ICT graduates for the job market,"

"ICT Entrepreneurship: Reducing the capital investment required," "Ensuring requisite policy and regulatory environment for ICT development," and "Cyber-security: Challenges in Ghana."

The rest are: "Is 'Sakawa' in Ghana a technology issue?" "Has Ghana got what it takes to become a leading BPO/ITES destination?" "Do software development standards improve software marketability?" "ICT Infrastructure is a prerequisite for a well-rounded education and "Are university based science and technology research parks a luxury in Ghana?"

Some the primary objectives of the week, which spans February 8 to February 12 is to market, network and educate the public about SOT/GIMPS.

Students are also expected to launch technology network and develop ties with faculty and staff.
