A technical fault on Thursday has caused a disruption in internet service provided by Vodafone throughout the country.

A statement from the company said the disruption was due to failure of a planned power reconfiguration activity on the SAT3 submarine cable station in South Africa.

Vodafone apologised for the disruption and said engineers from Vodafone Ghana and South Africa were working hand in hand to restore service as soon as possible.

Hello to me this is crazy.People pay for time on here and then they dont get it. They dont get their money back, lose time on computer and then we are suppose to be happy with the company. Well to me it bull shit and I feel like you should have it done the same day as it goes down. I miss talking to my husband in Ghana because of the Net.

This is no news at all. I'm on their so-called residential service. I enjoyed the service the first 2wks and the least said about it subsequently till now, the better. On several occasions, their customer service line even in the evening takes at least 30mins to pick your call. This is no exaggeration friend! I am going off their service once my current payments is exhausted.

Those of us in Winneba have cheated for far too long by Vodafone by way of their internet services. There is not a single day the net doesn't go down. Almost way the same explanation, we are doing a major maintenance, we are trying to do this and that. For than a year I have not have a single month in no hours were wasted. I have been telling them they armed-robbers. They are robbing us of our money. We pay our bills without value for our money. I don't think we should accepting these flimsy excuses. The Vodafone management know very well that what they are doing to their customers here in Ghana especially those of us in Kasoa-Winneba line cannot be done to the same customers in UK, Greece, Germany, etc. The robbery must stop immediately!!!
