The management of Busy Internet, a leading network service provider, on Monday presented stationery, a computer and accessories worth GH¢600 to the Akuapem South District Education Directorate in the Eastern Region.

Mr Praveen Sadalage, Managing Director of Busy Internet, presenting the items in Accra, said they formed part of their social responsibility to assist the vulnerable in society.

He said as part of effort to promote education in the area, management had decided to furnish the district library with computers and internet service to enable the students' access knowledge in ICT.

Mr Sadalage noted that acquisition of knowledge in all fields including reading and numeracy without computer skills in this era of ICT was an incomplete education.

"We must improve on how fast we adapt to technology to create an efficient working environment and accelerate socio-economic development," he said.

Mr Sadalage appealed to parents to stop lavish lifestyles and provide the basic requirements of their children's education to enable them attend school.

Ms Sefakor Pomeyie, representative of the Akuapem South District Education Directorate receiving the items thanked the management for the gesture.
