The Presiding Bishop and founder of the Jubilee International Churches and Ministries, Bob Hawkson, is dead. The bishop reportedly collapsed Sunday while giving a sermon.
He collapsed yesterday in church, while delivering a sermon.
He was rushed to the Korle-bu Teaching hospital but could not be revived.
Bob Hawkson was ordained a Bishop in 1977 by the Mt. Sinai Holiness Church of America and served as their Foreign Missions Director for that year.
He returned to Ghana in 1978 to establish the then Peoples Church of Ghana which was later changed to Jubilee Christian Centre currently registered and known as Jubilee International Churches and Ministries.
He was married to Shirley Hawkson and had four children.
