About 10 people are feared dead in Kasoa Saturday morning after a public toilet they were attending nature’s call in sunk.
The 10 - five male and five female – drowned in the toilet which is located close to the traffic light on the Bodwiase road.
The people are said to have suffocated to death when the structure collapsed on Saturday morning.
While some say 14 people have so far perished, other reports say only three lost their lives.
According to the Kasoa Police District Commander, Chief Superintendent Asare, the facility is a 'private toilet' being run as a commercial one.
"...the Police have rescued three of the victims but the rest, we have made several efforts to get them but couldn’t...we brought an excavator and one male adult was removed," he narrated.
He added that the owner of the public toilet facility is scheduled to be invited for questioning.
