Nana Ato Dadzie, member of the late President Mills Funeral Planning Committee has appealed to Ghanaians to abide by the rules of the country to give a befitting burial to the late President.

“Let us all have a quiet and peaceful funeral for our departed Head of State by abiding by all rules and regulations.”
Nana Ato Dadzie made the call when members of Ghana Lotto Operations Association (GLOA) presented GH˘5,000 cash and 20 cartons of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage to the Committee in Accra.

He said the world was watching Ghana and that it was important for Ghanaians to put up a united front during the occasion and refrained from any unnecessary acts during the funeral celebration.
“This is the time to showcase Ghana as a peaceful country,” he said.

Mrs Bertha Sogah, Member of the Committee, who received the items and cash, said they would be put to good use adding that although President Mills had passed on, his predecessor had assured Ghanaians to continue with the good works he had started.

Mr Dan Borsor, Acting Chairman who led a four member delegation of the Association, said it was their widow’s might towards the funeral of the late President Mills.

In a related development GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited has also donated quantities of assorted alcoholic beverages to the Funeral Planning Committee.
