The NDC Member of Parliament for Ashiaman, Alfred Kwame Agbesi has threatened to join his constituents to demonstrate if the Ministry of Road Transport and the local contractors fail to improve the road network in the municipality by September.
The MP, who told Adom FM of his frustration following the persistent failure of contractors to execute contracts given to them, said this is the seventh time they have received assurance from the Minister only to be disappointed by the contractors.
He welcomed the news of the cancellation of the existing contract with poor performing contractors and called for effective supervision of the new contractors warning that if they also fail, they will be forced to protest against the local authorities.
The MP warned that the contractor should beware not to tarnish the image of the government as it strives to deliver on the promise of a ‘Better Ghana.’
