A 17-year old student of the Bibiani Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Junior High School (JHS) has been stabbed to death in a fight with another teenager known only as Rauf.
The suspect is on the run and the police have mounted a man- hunt for him.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Francis Enorh, the District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the incident happened on Monday, December, 14.
Master Evans Owusu, the deceased was said to have picked a quarrel with Rauf at about 2130 hours and this generated into a fierce fight.
After the two had been separated by by-standers, Rauf allegedly drew a knife and stabbed the deceased on the left armpit.
Master Owusu fell unconscious and was rushed to the Bibiani Government Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body has since been deposited at the mortuary of the hospital for autopsy.
