A magistrate's court at Bibiani, has sentenced a 35-year-old unemployed man to 12 months imprisonment for forgery and defrauding by false pretence.

James Ayamga pleaded guilty to the offence.

Police Chief Inspector Alexander Atuobi told the court presided over by Mr Osei Kofi Amoako that the Manager of Sefwi-Wiawso branch of the SG-SSB Bank, about four months ago, received reports that Ayamga possessed forged documents of the bank and collected money from some people and promised to assist them acquire loans from the bank.

Prosecution said the Police found forged receipt books and paying slips of the bank when a search was conducted on him after he was arrested at Sefwi-Bekwai.
