| Charismatic Churches Must Be Grateful To Ex-Prez Rawlings - Duncan-Williams |

The Founder & General overseer of the Christian Action Faith Ministry, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has asked Christians to show gratitude to people who have shown them kindness.
In this regard, he has charged Christians of the charismatic movement in Ghana to be grateful to Former President Rawlings for giving rise to the charismatic movement in Ghana.
“When you refuse to appreciate, you depreciate. When you show ingratitude, you will diminish. Ingratitude attracts a curse. Gratitude is the seed for all and ingratitude keeps you short” he said.
Preaching the sermon last Sunday at the Action Chapel, Spintex Road, he said Former President Rawlings’ positive attitude towards the charismatic movement triggered its rapid growth in Ghana.
Recalling what Rawlings did for the charismatic movement, he said it was Rawlings, while he was President, who ordered one Abass of the Lands Department to help allocate land to himself and Pastor Mensah Otabil which helped them to establish their respective churches. Pastor Mensah Otabil is the Founder of the International Christian Gospel Centre (ICGC) which today has spread across the country.
Duncan-Williams said Rawlings also lifted the ban off preaching on radio and TV and thus began TV and radio evangelism in Ghana. This, he said, has led to the rapid spread of the word of God in the country. “When you respect greatness, you attract greatness. What you celebrate will always come to you” he charged.
Present at the church service were Former President Rawlings and his wife, Nana Konadu as well as their friends and sympathizers of the June 4 uprising. They used the occasion as a thanksgiving service to round of the commemoration of the 33rd anniversary of the June 4 revolt. |
