| Political Parties cannot change the country- Apostle Bona |

Apostle Paul Bona of the Full Gospel Church International, Koforidua, has observed that no, government or political party could change the country if the people do not change their altitude towards national affairs.
Ghanaians have no excuse if the country does not succeed in the face of the many natural and human resources, he said.
Apostle Bona was preaching the sermon at a special service organized by the church to mark 'Ghana's Day' under the theme, "A Patriotic Citizen Makes a Better Nation."
The service, which was instituted by the church, was to be organized annually on the Sunday after the Independence Day celebration, to inculcate into the members the sense of patriotism and to offer prayers for the nation.
He said nations that are not endowed as Ghana are making it and therefore there was no reason why Ghana should not also succeed if the people take their destiny into their own hands.
Apostle Bona called on Ghanaians to be patriotic, respect the laws of the land, and contribute toward its development.
In a speech read on behalf of the Chief Justice Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood, she appealed to the church to help address the indiscipline among the youth in terms of their dressing.
She called on the church to engage parents through the women and men's fellowship to educate them on the upbringing of their children, and urged them not to leave their children under the influence of their peers and other unscrupulous people who engaged them in criminal activities.
The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, express regret that Ghanaians were loosing their sense of objectivity and issues are judged more from political angles, rather than from objectivity and the realities surrounding the issue.
He said the politics of the winner takes all seems not to be helping the development of the country and called for respect for each other and that everybody's contribution towards national development was needed.
Mr Ofosu-Ampofo said it is time for the nation to start thinking about national language and explained that, that could be the catalyst to the economic development of the country.
The Regional Minister called on all to place Ghana first before their individual interest, and explained that, under such agenda, there would be nothing that would stop the development of the country.
The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Ms Beatrice Bernice Boateng called on Ghanaians not to allow their political affiliations to divide them.
Ms Boateng said no political party has the human resources to solve all the challenges facing the country at a time and therefore advocated for a situation where it would be possible for the ruling party to get the best brains in the country to handle issues even if those experts are in the minority parties, this she explained would enable the country to marshal its best human resources for the development of the country.
