The Reverend Bishop Elisha Osei Kofi, General Overseer of the Power Embassy Church International, has called on political parties to bury their differences and rally behind the government to ensure national development.

He said now that the elections were over, there was the need for political parties to foster unity and oneness and desist from insulting each other which did not augur well for the country’s young democracy.

Bishop Osei Kofi made the call at the opening of this year’s “Shiloh 2009” Conference in Accra on Monday.

The “Shilo Conference” is an annual event organised by the church, with the aim to build the spiritual well-being of participants to enable them to face the challenges ahead.

About 1,000 members from Ghana, Germany, South Africa, United States of America and Canada are attending the seven-day conference which is under the theme; “Greater Glory.”

Bishop Osei Kofi appealed to the government to formulate a youth policy which would help the youth to develop their talents.

He said; “The youth are the future leaders of this nation and everything possible must be done to help them to grow to become useful citizens”.

Bishop Osei Kofi advised Christians to play an active role in the nation’s developmental agenda.

The conference would be climaxed with the 11th Anniversary of the church on Sunday, October 4, 2009.
