As part of the activities marking the 10th anniversary of the most listened to radio station in Ghana, Peace FM, which most people readily agree to be the number one station in the country, the management and staff of the station, led by the CEO, Mr. Osei Kwame Despite and his deputy, Mr. Fadda Dickson embarked on a record breaking float through some major roads in Accra Today.

Speaking to Peacefmonline, 3 police dispatch riders who escorted the procession said, they have never seen the like of the huge crowed which thronged the streets to cheer the float on.

They concluded, “this is really a piece of history, it has never happened before under our watch”

Peace FM which is a division of Despite Group of companies was established in May 25, 1999 and is celebrating its tenth year this year.

The company’s contribution to national development has been widely acclaimed resulting in several awards being conferred on it, including radio station of the year 2006. Other laurels include applause from, President Mills, Vice President John Mahammah, Ex-president John Kufuor, the Information Ministry and several other dignitaries.
