A fuel tanker has exploded around Anyinamso number one in the Ashanti region, Citi News can confirm.
Two persons are reported dead while several items and property worth several thousands of Ghana cedis are said to have been destroyed.
Speaking to Citi News, an eyewitness, Mahama Mustapha said: “I was at Anyinamso number one on my way to Kumasi when I saw a tanker on fire burning some cars and other things around it. The fire service just arrived at the scene,” he stated.
Mustapha further stated, “I have been here for seven minutes and other cars and stores are on fire... When we got here, we were not allowed to pass. The Fire Service is now trying to put out the fire”.
