The Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD), has assured striking consultants and specialists doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi that transfer of money has been made for them to get their allowances for the first quarter of this year latest by Monday, the 17th of this month.

The latest development is part of a number of initiatives being instituted by the government towards addressing the recurring agitations by the doctors.

The consultants and specialist doctors are currently on strike in demand of unpaid allowances since the beginning of this year.
