Ghana's President, John Dramani Mahama is currently touring parts of Central Region expressing his gratitude to people over their contribution towards the burial of late President Atta Mills.

He first stopped at Kasoa to speak to a gathering of people and thanked all political parties for their support.

Addressing the crowd at Kasoa, President Mahama said it was prudent to start the tour from the Central Region because President Atta Mills was a son of the region.

President Mahama went on to address another crowd at Mankessim before heading towards Cape Coast.

At Cape Coast, he will address a mammoth durbar of chiefs and people.

The tour will also take the president to the Western region to say thank you to Ghanaians.

Members of the President's team include: the Chief of Staff John Martey Newman, the NDC's National Chairman Dr Kwabeng Adjei and the Central Regional Minister Mrs Ama Benyiwa Doe.
