The Andani Royal Family of Dagbon in the Northern Region has admonished President John Mahama to constitute a commission of enquiry to probe into the murder of Ya-Na Yakubu Andani II; an incident which occurred in March 2002.

The family explained that the NDC must fulfill its campaign promise to arrest the murderers of the late overlord of Dagbon.

According to the Spokesperson of the Ya- Na Memorial Lecture Secretariat, Mahama Shaibu, “the state has failed so far in ensuring justice for the Ya-Na and the Andani family. So it is about time that the NDC fulfills its electoral promise.”

The family has also threatened that the Andani’s will advise themselves during the December general elections if government fails to heed to their calls.

Speaking to Citi News, Mr. Shaibu further stated that “I am not competent enough to tell you what is going to happen but I do know these people voted for the NDC because of that issue. You and I know what they will decide to do this time around if the NDC is unable to establish the Commission to address the issue.”
