| PPP Pays Tribute To President Mills |

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) in a statement issued shortly after the death of President John Evans Atta Mills has stated that: “the PPP has learnt with a heavy heart the sudden and untimely death of the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Professor John Evans Atta-Mills.
Signed by its National Secretary, Kofi Asamoah-Siaw, it expressed that, “the PPP wishes to convey its heartfelt condolences to the people of Ghana, the National Democratic Congress, the wife and family of the former President.”
“We urge all Ghanaians to remain calm and circumspect in this trying moment in our national life. We pledge our full support and co-operation to the Vice-President, His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama, as he takes up the mantle of leadership and take steps to offer a befitting farewell to the father of the nation. |
