President John Evans Atta Mills has inspected the rate of work on the Accra Kumasi road with an appeal for motorist to bear with the contractors to ensure successful completion of the projects.

He stated that government is determined to mitigate the hustle both pedestrians and motorist encounter, thus the need to bear with the contractors to complete the project on schedule.

He said what Ghanaians require is policy and programs that will inure to the benefit of the people, and will focus on delivering on the promises he made to Ghanaians. Inspecting the Achimota – Ofankor stretch of road through to the Nsawam bye pass president Mills commended the contractors for a yeoman’s job. However, the president appealed to the contractors on the Kumasi road to expedite action on project.

President Mills assured of government readiness to support the contractors complete the work on schedule to relieve motorists and pedestrians from the inconveniences they encounter on the road.

He indicated that the ongoing road infrastructure expansion across the country will make life bearable for the people and also enhance economic activities.

At the Taifa Bridge site which will be completed in September president Mills waved the crowd and said the NDC government will do what it has to do to improve the lives of the people.
