The Volta River Authority (VRA) on Friday informed the general public that as a result of a planned shutdown of Akosombo Unit No.l for inspection works, there would be a shortfall in power supply up to 150MW from Saturday, June 30 to Monday, July 2.

A statement issued by the VRA copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra said the shortfall on Saturday, June 30, would be from 6.00 pm - 11.00 pm; Sunday, July 1, 6.00 pm - 11.00 pm; and Monday, July 2, 06.00 am - 4.00 pm.

"Consumers are therefore to take note and bear with us in case they experience some power outages during this period. The VRA apologises for any inconveniences this may cause."
