Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an international evangelist has asked Ghanaians in the Diaspora to make conscious efforts to bring back the expertise they have gained abroad to assist in national development.

"Just like Joseph in the Bible, God sent most Ghanaians to the Diaspora to become a blessing at home."

Dr Tetteh, a London- based Economist and International Relations Expert, made the call at a three-day crusade at Dodowa organised by the Somanya Diocese of the Methodist Church and his Ministry- Worldwide Miracle Outreach of UK, as part of the National Week of Prayer, Fasting and Thanksgiving programme.

President John Evans Atta Mills in consultation with the Christian leadership designated the week spanning March 7 to March 13 as a period to offer intercessory prayers for the nation.

He noted that the socio-economic development of the country could be facilitated by the varied expertise of Ghanaians abroad.

Dr Tetteh commended the chiefs, elders and people who trooped to the crusade in their numbers in the Dangbe West District to offer prayers to the nation.

He called on all Ghanaians to support the efforts of the President to build a better Ghana.

Dr Tetteh expressed appreciation to God to be part of the event on the land where he hailed from in the Greater Accra Region.
