Highly sophisticated group of money launderers also with interest in illicit drugs have entered the country from one of the neighboring counties, a highly placed security source has told The Enquirer. According to the source, the group is suspected to be led by one Abass Yousef, who claims to be close to the Royal family of the United Arab Emirates.


The security service has therefore cautioned potential investors and the business community to be on the look out for the group while the security agents are working tirelessly to pull the breaks on their heels.


A security source told The Enquirer that members of the group is an American of a Lebanese origin and one other man suspected to be an Iraqi. The Enquirer gathered from source that the group is suspected to have entered into the country last Monday, July 27, 2009.


According to the source, the group has succeeded in swindling a number of businessmen in a number of countries in the West Coast. The source said that the group is believed to have chosen Ghana as their current base because of the country’s image.


The source said that he prevailing stability coupled with the visit by the US president, Barrack Hussein Obama, the group is likely to attract attention among investors and the local-business community.
