The Takoradi Polytechnic branch of the Polytechnic Teachers Association of Ghana (POTAG) has declared a sit down strike with immediate effect due to government’s lackadaisical attitude towards migrating them onto the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).
The strike, according to sources on T-Poly campus, was after an extensive meeting among the members of the association.
Meanwhile, the Sunyani Polytechnic branch has also hinted of a possible sit down strike by the end of today, Wednesday. There is serious agitation within the POTAG front as members are divided over whether or not they should embark on strike or otherwise.
There are those members who are also against their colleagues going on strike thereby siding with the leadership of the association which says it would not take a decision until next week.
