The Managing Director of the Twifo Oil Palm Plantation (TOPP), Mr. Neneyo Mate Kole, has said TOPP would institute an awards scheme to honour hard working teachers of the TOPP Basic School at Twifo Ntefrawaso.
He said the decision was taken following the excellent performance of students at this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) of which they scored 100%.
Mr. Mate Kole, who spoke to the GNA in an interview, said the scheme was to show appreciation for the hard work done by the teachers and to encourage them to do more.
He said out of 37 candidates presented for the examination 34 students had between aggregate six and nine and that the lowest aggregate was 17.
Mr. Mate Kole congratulated the teachers and urged them to work harder to maintain the standards set.
