The Ghana Education Service (GES) on Wednesday said the 2009 BECE Placement Results were now ready. A release signed by Mr Sam Bannerman-Mensah, Director-General of GES, said: "Candidates are hereby informed that the Placement Reports will be available in their respective Junior High Schools (JHS), Senior High Schools (SHS), District and Regional Education Offices by 6th October, 2009."

It said successful candidates were to wait until October 7 to collect their placement forms from their respective JHS for completion in order to begin processing their admission into SHS or Technical Institutes.

It said from Wednesday September 23, 2009, candidates may check their placements by texting to MTN with 1755 or 1756, Kasapa 1755, and Vodafone 7777.

The release said meanwhile a few qualified candidates who missed out on all their choices were being considered for placement in schools in their districts. These candidates may text the same codes from Friday, September 25, for information on their placement. It said re-entry candidates would have to contact their respective JHS or District Education Offices from October 7 for information on their placement.

Foreign candidates who applied for admission into Senior High School/Technical Institutes would have to call (021)-663045 from September 23, between 0900 hours and 0500 hours for information on their placement.
